With the new school year in motion, the high school has yet to host upcoming events, including those for Melissa Choir. Their first performance this fall will be on Oct. 13, and their UIL concert will take place in the spring on March 30 or 31.

In the meantime, the choir will be rehearsing to perform their best in the upcoming concert.

“I’m excited for All-Region and the song ‘Sigue’,” sophomore Iyana Rouse said. “We prepare by doing singing exercises and sight reading, and we also have rehearsals after school.”

More upcoming events for the choir include All-Region competitions; fall, Christmas, and spring concerts; vocal/piano competition; TMEA Convention/All-State performances; a Pre-UIL concert; and their annual Choir Banquet.

With all this in mind, be sure to stay tuned for a stunning performance.
