Cardinal Update

  • Congratulations to the 2022 Homecoming Court: Jax Marrow, Preston Moore, Lance Riley, Bennett Edwards, Trevor Goosby, Maddie Pickett, Sydney Freeland, Maisy Gustaveson, Chloe Webb and Kindred Johnson. The king and queen will be crowned at 7 p.m. before the homecoming football game on Oct. 28.
  • Staff Development Day: Students will have NO school on Monday, Oct. 24 as teachers participate in professional development.
  • Homecoming Week kicks off on Tuesday, Oct. 25 with Dress Up Days. See the Upcoming Events below for the themes and festivities. Students are NOT allowed to wear masks or face paint on any day and outfits must still meet dress code. Visit the district web page for complete homecoming info.
  • Basketball Spirit Wear: If you’d like to purchase some basketball spirit wear and help the program with fundraising, the online store will be open through Oct. 28. Click here to shop.
  • SENIOR PORTRAITS: The school photographer CADY will return to campus Nov. 1 for their final “road shoot.” Visit cady.com/book23 to make an appointment. (CADY will return in January for any senior still needing a yearbook only photo, free of charge.)
  • School Pictures are now available to order. If you did not purchase a package on or prior to underclass picture day, Sept. 22, you can visit cady.com/orderphotos to view and order your 2022-2023 school pictures today.
  • Picture Retake Day: The school photographer will return to campus on Nov. 3 for Picture Retakes for any students absent on Sept. 22 or for any new students since that date. If a student who DID take a photo on Sept. 22 would like to request a retake for some reason, then complete this Google Form by Nov. 1. (Absent and new students do NOT have to complete the form.) Students that purchased a package from CADY and who are requesting a retake should bring the photo package with them to the photographer on Nov. 3.
  • Student ID: Any seniors needing a student ID should email the yearbook adviser Rachel Nelson ([email protected]) to be added to the list for a photo on Nov. 3.
  • SENIOR ADs for the 2023 yearbook are now on sale! Parents/guardians will build and purchase the ADs through Herff Jones’ site: YearbookOrderCenter.com.
  • Trunk or Treat Night: Willow Wood Elem PTO is looking for high school students to decorate their trunks (prizes awarded!), help pass out candy, run simple games and just have fun with elementary trick-or-treaters! The event is on Sunday, Oct. 30 from 4-7 p.m. Click here to sign up. Students will receive a letter confirming their service time, which looks great on scholarship applications and resumes.
