Cardinal Update

  • Yearbooks are on sale for $75 through Monday, May 1. A limited quantity is available! Visit yearbookordercenter.com to purchase a book.
  • The Third Annual Cardinal Field Day will be held on May 24 during finals week starting at 12:30 p.m. If students would like to purchase a shirt in their class color, the deadline to order is Friday, May 5. Click here to order a Field Day T-Shirt.
  • One-Act Play Public Performances: The Melissa High School theatre program will present two free shows on Friday, May 12 at the Melissa Arts Center, performing their award-winning UIL One-Act Play productions. The first show begins at 7 p.m. with “The Sweet Science of Bruising” performed by the Black Box Company (JV Theatre), followed by “A Monster Calls” performed by the Main Stage Company (Varsity Theatre). We hope to see you there!
  • Spring Game Day: The Melissa Cardinals return to the field for Spring Game Day on Saturday, May 13 in preparation for the upcoming football season. The game is free to attend. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium with community tailgating beginning as early as 5:30 p.m. Spots are still open for the “Game Day Experience” with both the football and cheerleading programs.   • Course Requests for 2023-24 are now available to view in the student and parent portal of the Home Access Center (HAC). Students should view their schedules carefully and complete the MHS Course Change Request Form if changes are desired. The deadline to submit the form is May 12 at 4 p.m.

  • FREE College Hours: Collin College is going to offer again the “Reversing the Slide” tuition and fee waiver for qualified graduating seniors who plan to take classes this summer. This tuition and fee waiver will cover up to 6 credit hours for students graduating high school this spring (May/June) within the Collin College Service Area. Registration and the Reversing the Slide Application must be completed by May 3 at 12 p.m.to qualify. Click here for more info and the link to apply.
