On Monday, Dec. 6, Olivia Rodrigo announced on Instagram that she will be going on her long-awaited tour for her first and latest album “Sour.”

Released on May 21, 2021, “Sour” immediately gained great popularity due to the amount of anticipation around the album with her first three singles “driver’s license,” “Deja Vu,” and “good 4 u” becoming internet sensations. Now, both “drivers license” and “good 4 u” have over one billion streams on Spotify.

Accompanied by fellow singers Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, and Baby Queen; Rodrigo will play throughout the United States and parts of Canada and Europe.

Olivia has never held an official tour before but has been seen performing at events such as Saturday Night Live, the American Music Awards, The BRITs, the MTV Video Music Awards, and just recently at Austin City Limits alongside Phoebe Bridgers.

Both Olivia and Phoebe then held a joint Instagram Live, where Bridgers shared a bit of advice for going on tour.

“The magical moments are so much better, and the sadder moments are really so much better,” Bridgers expertly mentioned. “My advice is like facetime your pets, call your mom. It’s okay if there are times that feel a little bit harder, but mostly it’s the best thing ever.”

“Yeah, I’m definitely gonna drag my mom to go on that tour with me,” Rodrigo said in response.
