Cardinals of the Week: Feb.14-18

Rozleyn Brown, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Melissa High School is continuing to honor students and faculty members that display the core values on a consistent basis. Each week one student and one staff member will be spotlighted and awarded a certificate and some treats. The staff member will also be presented with a “traveling trophy.”

The student Cardinal of the Week is freshman Brogan Middleton.

Brogan was nominated by her teacher Mrs. Kennedy who had this to say: “Brogan is the silent warrior in Algebra I. She takes it all in. Her work has been steady and consistent in Algebra I. She can easily be overlooked due to her quietness; however, when you see her performance on tests, there is no doubt that she will do amazing things. She leaves me in awe after each assessment. She always takes the extra time to make the little things count. I am so proud of her strong work ethic and her commitment to success.”

Mrs. Kennedy presents freshman Brogan Middleton with the Student of the Week award.

The Teacher Cardinal of the Week is Mrs. Brittany Rosch.

Mrs. Rosch was nominated by Kennedy who had this to say: “Mrs. Rosch is an amazing teacher. She cares for students by holding them accountable. She pushes them to perform at their potential. She puts in the extra time to build the curriculum when she sees a need by the students. She represents Hope in Melissa. She never gives up. She puts forth her best and expects the same from her students.”
