Rozleyn Brown, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Melissa High School is continuing to honor students and faculty members that display the core values on a consistent basis. Each week one student and one staff member will be spotlighted and awarded a certificate and some treats. The staff member will also be presented with a “traveling trophy.”

The Student Cardinal of the Week is freshman Gabrielle Taylor.

Taylor was nominated by Mrs. Rosch who had this to say, “Gabbie is one of the most hardworking, determined, and passionate students that I have had the pleasure of teaching. She is genuinely an amazing person and I can’t think of a more deserving student.”

The Teacher Cardinal of the Week is Mrs. Bekah Slentz.

Mrs. Slentz was nominated by Rosch who had this to say, “She exemplifies the ‘Cardinal Way.’ Mrs. Slentz works hard for the science dept. and for her students to ensure everyone is taken care of. We are in a better department because of her (and Manny, too!).”
