Crochet

Crochet is becoming a big hit this season. We have seen crochet sweaters throughout the winter, but now it is transitioning to tank tops, skirts, pants, and shorts. These pieces would be super cute as a swimsuit coverup for the pool or beach or just casual outfits for the time being.

Oversized

Oversized clothes have been in style for a while, but how does this translate to summer? Oversized mom shorts are an excellent way to keep the oversized silhouette while not overheating. Another way to keep this look is through layering. A good way to layer in the spring and summer is with loose or crochet cardigans or wearing a breathable collared shirt under some looks. A collared shirt could also achieve this look with no layering.

Y2K

Y2K fashion is also making a comeback. This style includes layering, halter tops, low-rise jeans, crop tops, and platform shoes. These items can be styled with a modern twist by using muted colors such as brown and beige instead of the classic bright colors of the early 2000s. Additionally, you can swap out the platform flip flops for a platform strappy sandal or a pair of combat boots.

Maxi dresses/skirts

Maxi dresses and flowy skirts are also making a comeback this spring. These pieces give a summery look that will undoubtedly be a significant trend this season. Maxi dresses with fringe, texture, or crochet dresses and skirts will leave you vacation-ready.

Patchwork

Patchwork is also making a comeback this spring. Patchwork pants, shorts, and tops are a great statement piece for any outfit. We would recommend pairing patchwork pants with a neutral top to draw more attention to the patchwork and busy patterns that appear on the pants.

Tote Bags

A tote bag is an excellent accessory to add to any summer or spring look. Tote bags are the perfect canvas for artwork that you can carry with you. You can paint your tote to make it exactly your style. In addition to being super cute, they are very functional. Tote bags are often large, so you can carry any essentials you may need, such as a water bottle for when it gets hot, sunscreen and sunglasses to protect you from the sun, maybe a book if you get bored, or a snack for an impromptu picnic. Overall, a tote bag is a super cute accessory to express yourself and is exceptionally functional.

All in all, these trends will keep you looking fashionable throughout spring and summer. Don’t forget to snag these looks from the store when you see them because they might sell out!
