Cardinal Update

• Congratulations to senior Emma Bean, who received a Gold Seal for her self-portrait in the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) Competition held April 30 in San Marcos, and congratulations to sophomore Christie Weaver and senior Micah Berger for receiving medals for their works. • Yearbooks will be distributed beginning Tuesday, May 16. Students will be able to come to the library during their A-B-C lunch to pick up their book. A limited number of yearbooks will be available for purchase starting Tuesday at lunch and will remain on sale the remainder of the school year while quantities last. The price for a yearbook is $70, cash or check (payable to MHS) only.
• Semester Exams will be held May 23-26. If eligible for exemptions, 9th-11th grade students should have received the official exemption form from their English teacher and can begin requesting teacher signatures for exam exemptions starting May 16. • SENIORS: Please check your email DAILY, and visit the Class of 2022 webpage frequently to stay informed on end-of-year Senior Activities. If you plan to decorate your graduation cap, click here for the approval form.
• Register your student for a Melissa ISD summer camp! Melissa ISD offers a variety of sports and fine arts camps during the summer break from school. Cardinal Camps are led by the coaching staff of Melissa High School. To learn more about this year’s camp offerings and register online, visit www.melissaisd.org/camps.
• School Day Hours: Melissa ISD has determined the projected school day start and end times, early drop-off times, and early release times for the 2022-2023 school year. Click here to view this information.
• Summer Office Hours: Beginning June 6, 2022, Melissa Schools will follow a modified schedule during the summer break from school. Click here for an overview of the Melissa ISD summer office hours.
