Freshman Kennedy Branch competes in the 100m dash at the district track meet on April 12. She finished in 3rd place in the 100m dash and 1st place in the 200m dash, advancing to the area meet in both events as well as part of the 4x100 relay team.

Congratulations to Melissa Theatre for receiving six Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards nominations for their fall production of “Matilda.” The nominations are Outstanding Musical (Top 9 of 75 schools); Outstanding Lead Performer: Dax Laber as Mr. Wormwood; Outstanding Supporting Performer: Stella Rose as Mrs. Wormwood; Outstanding Direction; Outstanding Choreography; and Outstanding Lighting Design.

Melissa High School Survey: Through an anonymous survey, Melissa ISD is seeking feedback from parents/guardians regarding the 2022-2023 school year. PROM 2023: This year’s prom with “A Night in New York” theme will be held April 29. Tickets are on sale through April 28 for $80. Click here for more information–ticket sales, dress code, guest guidelines and more.

FREE College Hours: Collin College is going to offer again the “Reversing the Slide” tuition and fee waiver for qualified graduating seniors who plan to take classes this summer. This tuition and fee waiver will cover up to 6 credit hours for students graduating high school this spring (May/June) within the Collin College Service Area. Registration and the Reversing the Slide Application must be completed by May 3 at 12 p.m.to qualify. Click here for more info and the link to apply.

Course Requests for 2023-24 are now available to view in the student and parent portal of the Home Access Center (HAC). Students should view their schedules carefully and complete the MHS Course Change Request Form if changes are desired. The deadline to submit the form is May 12 at 4 p.m.
