A new game is releasing on April 28 called “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.” The original game is called “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” and it came out on Nov. 15, 2019. The director is named Stig Asmussen, and the business who makes Star Wars is Respawn Entertainment.

To give a little history of the game, “Fallen Order” is a story set five years after the Galactic Republic’s transformation into an Empire and a purge of the old guard known as the Great Jedi Purge.

Former Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis is hiding on the planet Bracca, where he works as a scrapper salvaging ships from the Clone Wars. An Imperial probe catches Cal using the Force to save his friend Prauf, and two Inquisitors are sent to investigate him. After the Second Sister kills Prauf for speaking up against the Empire, Cal makes his escape. He is rescued by former Jedi Knight Cere Junda and pilot Greeze Dritus, who transport him on their ship, the “Stinger Mantis.”

Now, four years later, “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” is releasing as an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. A sequel to “Fallen Order,” it is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on April 28. “Survivor” is a story picking up five years after the events of “Fallen Order.” The story centers on Jedi Knight Cal Kestis’ struggle to stay ahead of the hostile Galactic Empire and its relentless efforts to exterminate the last remaining survivors of Order 66. Among his newest adversaries is a mysterious Pau’an Imperial Senator, who makes a dangerous deal of sorts, and the Gen’Dai Rayvis, who believes that the Jedi should be extinct.

This game includes player cosmetic customization options that have been greatly expanded in “Survivor” over the limited ponchos options in “Fallen Order.” “Survivor” allows the player to customize Cal’s appearance with entire changes to his outfits.

It will be the last Star Wars game published under Electronic Arts’ exclusive contract with Lucasfilm, which is set to expire later in the year. IGN interviewed Asmussen, and the director stated that he originally planned the Star Wars Jedi Series to be a trilogy, with the possible third and final major installment targeting the new Unreal Engine 5.
