Cardinal Update

  • Congratulations to the UIL Academic Team! Four of seven students medaled at the state meet held at the UT campus in Austin on May 17-18. Tyler Mathieson is the state 5A champ in Computer Applications, Ira Roy took 4th place in Computer Applications, Dax Laber finished in 6th place in Persuasive Speaking, and Emerson Trevino also earned 6th place in Prose Interpretation.
  • Congratulations to the winners of the live audience vote at the 2nd Annual MHS Film Fest, which was held May 20. Best Animation went to “Strays” by senior Aidan Mitchell-Johnson. Best Live Action and Best of Fest went to “Seclusion,” produced by senior Jayden Barrett and the 3rd-4th Period AV Production II/Practicum class. Click here to view all the films on YouTube.

  • Early Release: School will dismiss for the summer on May 25 at 12:10 p.m.
  • Graduation will take place on May 26 at 8 p.m. at the Coach Kenny Deel Stadium.
