This past weekend the Melissa High School Varsity Winter Guard competed at the WGI Dallas Regional. This was one of the biggest regionals in the country with groups from multiple states. The guard placed 5th out of 45 guards on Saturday for prelims, and then jumped up to the top three for finals! They were also the only guard from 4A to make it into the finals. This is a huge accomplishment and a first in school history.

They are currently ranked in the top 15 in the country in the Scholastic A division and are currently under review to be in the next classification, which is one of the most advanced divisions in the world. The last competition will be Sunday, April 3.
