“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is coming to theaters Nov. 11, introducing Wakanda’s new leader. The movie will be highlighting King T’Challa’s death and how the nation moves forward within its dynasty without him. Though they progress, opposing forces attempt to challenge them in a moment of weakness.

While the movie has not been released nationwide yet, an early release was accessible in a premiere, which not only showcased the new movie, but actors also paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. Letitia Wright, who plays T’Challa’s sister, was seen wearing the notorious black suit with jewels Chadwick wore at the 2018 premiere. In addition Ryan Coogler, who directed and co-wrote both of the Black Panther movies, was also wearing a tribute piece, a gold necklace with Chadwick on it.

In the previous movie “Black Panther,” the leading role was played by Chadwick Boseman. He passed away on Aug. 28, 2020. In effort to honor him for his time and work on the movie, a mural was made for him in the movie. Though he is gone, a new Black Panther will be taking the hero’s position.

During the beginning trailer, viewers can watch as Wakanda progresses and mourns the death of their past king, but at the end of the trailer viewers get a glimpse of the “new” Black Panther. The significance of the new leader is how the hero is now a female and many can propose an idea on who it could be.

The excitement of the upcoming movie has been seen throughout many companies such as McDonald’s, Adidas, Sprite, etc. McDonald’s has announced their ”Wakanda Forever” Happy Meal, which features 10 Black Panther character toys. Adidas has also created a Black Panther Collection dedicated to the movie.

The collection showcases pairs of shoes including cleats, shirts, pants, and accessories to represent pride in the upcoming movie. In addition, Sprite with Hall of Zero Limits now has a collaboration with Marvel. When entering the site viewers are greeted with a welcome screen followed by a Find Your Gift Quiz, Origin Stories, and more.
