In a pre-game ceremony held in the middle school gym on Oct. 28, seniors Trevor Goosby and Sydney Freeland were crowned the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen. Due to the pouring rain outside, they could not be crowned at the football stadium.

The varsity football game against Princeton was lightning delayed three times and ended up being rescheduled to Saturday at 1 p.m.

Even though the weather was bad, some people still had a good time.

“I think it kinda sucked that the rain and the cold ruined the night, but I think it was still fun because I got to hang out with some people,” freshman Samantha Sweat said.

On Oct. 29, some people went to the re-scheduled game. Varsity beat Princeton with a final score of 57-14.

“The game on Saturday was not as exciting as it would have been if it was on Friday,” freshman Josef Pintor said.

That week lots of people dressed up for the themes each day. The themes were as follows: Monday: no school; Tuesday: Character Day; Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday; Thursday: Decades Day; and Friday: Spirit Day.

There were mixed opinions about the dress up days.

“I think the dress up days could’ve been better, but they were fun,” freshman Madelyn Brown said. “It was a good freshman HOCO week.”
