Club leader and freshman Malia Lastinger, using her own money, provides many colors of string, variety of beads, tape, and scissors for many students who attend her club. Every Wednesday, during session B of MegaLunch, the Bracelet Club meets in Mrs. Rosch’s room 203.

Lastinger enjoys helping people learn how to make bracelets and show their creativity. Making bracelets is known to have a calming effect, build self-confidence, relieve stress, improve focus, and make people feel good about themselves, according to a fashion jewelry manufacturer “Tiger.”

“I made this club to spend quality time with my friends and use our creativity to make bracelets,” Lastinger said.

To help buy materials to provide and support the club or simply buy string to make bracelets at home, visit Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JOANN Fabric and Crafts, Target, or Amazon to get the supplies needed.

“What I like most about this club is that I can have time to make bracelets with my friends,” current club member and freshman Faith Kingori said.
