Melissa Schools will be hosting for the first time the “Heart for the Arts” festival on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event will be held in Symmetry Plaza at the high school campus and in the Melissa Arts Center.

The festival will consist of performances and activities initiated by students in band, cheer, choir, theater and visual arts. Those who attend can enjoy hot cocoa served by the middle school choir and enjoy tasty meals served by food trucks on campus.

• Storybook read-alouds
• Elementary musical performances

No payment is required to attend but donations can be made to the Melissa ISD fine arts programs.
