Creepin’ It Real

Brandon Murphy, Writer

My cousin and I decided to go to the Dark Hour haunted house in Plano on Friday the 13th. As we slowly approached the building we had thoughts of turning around and heading home. I felt more nervous as we waited in line to get into the attraction. Between the wait we experienced different frights from a man with a hatchet, a male nun, and a zombie on stilts.
As we went through the haunted we received scares from leprechauns and ‘Friday the 13th’s’ Jason with a machete. We had decided to go on Friday the 13th, so Jason was a little more frightening. Once inside we got hit by rain and snow as different themes.
By the time we made our way out of the house, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. My chest was hurting and my heart was on super drive.
This house has six different shows a year, such as a Christmas themed house called Wreck the Halls. It’s a great option to continue to get your scare on after the Halloween season.
Because of pop up and scares from the actors at Dark Hour, it is advised that young children not attend. For those who like to get their blood flowing come visit dark hour for 6 different shows a year.
