Released on Dec. 9, 2022, singer/songwriter SZA’s newest album “SOS” has been steadily topping the Billboard 200 Charts for its third consecutive week. This is the first album SZA has released since her drop of “Ctrl” in 2017, and although it is still early on in its life, “SOS” has sprung to record breaking heights.

According to a tweet by Chart Data, “SZA join[ed] Taylor Swift as the only female artist in history to simultaneously chart at least 20 songs on the Hot 100.”

Additionally, Austin City Limits Radio shared in a blog that SZA has become “the first Black female artist since Beyoncé to see her album spend its first two weeks atop the Billboard 200.”

Before this drop, SZA was featured in multiple record collaborations, one being her part on “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat, which won the Grammy for Best Pop Duo Performance in April 2022.

This year, SZA plans to go on her “SOS” tour from Feb. 21 to May 21, featuring two stops in Texas: Mar. 9 at the Moody Center in Austin and Mar. 10 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
