In game one of the World Series, the Astros started Dallas Keuchel while the Dodgers used Clayton Kershaw of Highland Park. Keuchel pitched 6.2 innings and gave up 6 hits and 3 runs. Kershaw pitched 7 innings and gave up 3 hits and 1 run. First baseman, Justin Turner, of the Dodgers had 2 of the 3 runs scored for the Dodgers. Alex Bregman, third baseman, scored the only run for the Astros. The end of the game featured the Dodgers winning 3-1 and took a 1-0 lead on the series.

When game two came the Dodgers had a slight advantage with a 1-0 lead. They were 3 wins away from winning the clubs first world series since 1988. The Houston Astros started Justin Verlander, who was acquired from the Detroit Tigers and the Dodgers started Rich Hill. Verlander pitched 6 innings and gave up 2 hits and 3 runs. Hill pitched 4 innings, had 3 hits, and 1 run against him. The Dodgers were led by Corey Seager with  2 of the 6 runs scored. The Astros were led by soon to be M.V.P. George Springer who scored 2 of the 7 runs scored by the Astros. The final score of the game was Astros 7 Dodgers 6. Now the series was tied 1-1 and made fans more nervous about who was gonna it all for their franchise.  

With the series being tied 1-1 both teams were destined to get the advantage in the series. The Dodgers decided to start Yu Darvish who was acquired from the Texas Rangers and he pitched 1.2 innings which isn’t that long and he gave up 6 hit and 4 runs while the Astros started Lance McCullers Jr. the pitcher lasted 5.1 innings and gave up 4 hits and 3 runs. Los Angeles were leading offensively by Yasiel Puig, who had 1 of the 3 runs for the Dodgers also the Astros were guided by rookie first baseman Yuli Gurriel. The final score of game three was 5-3 with the Astros winning.

On Oct. 28 game four occurred and the Dodgers started Alex Wood he pitched 5.2 innings and the Astros got 1 hit and 1 run off of his pitches and the Astros starter Charlie Morton pitched 6.1 innings and got 3 hits against him and 1 run. When it came to hitting the Dodgers were led by Joc Pederson who had 3 of the Dodgers 6 runs while M.V.P. George Springer led the Astros by scoring 1 of the 2 runs the Astros scored. Dodgers up the series 2-2 by winning 6-2.

In a memorable performance, the Dodgers and Astros put on a slugfest in game five. The Dodgers started Clayton Kershaw who looked to have another great performance came a little short he pitched 4.2 innings and gave up 4 hits and 6 runs while he pitched. The Astros started Dallas Keuchel pitched 3.2 innings and the Dodgers got 5 hits and 3 runs off of him pitching. Both teams had a ton of runs that equaled up to 25 runs total. The Dodgers were led offensively by Cody Bellinger who had 4 of the Dodgers 12 runs also the Astros were out performed by Jose Altuve who scored 4 of the 13 runs by the Astros. The final score of game 5 was 13-12 with the Astros winning and took a 3-2 lead in the World Series.

With 1 win away from winning their first World Series in a very long time the Astros were looking to win it all. The Dodgers started Rich Hill who didn’t want to upset the fans of the Dodgers. He pitched 4.2 innings and gave up 4 hits and 1 run. The Astros started Justin Verlander who looked to keep his hot streak going but Verlander struggled with only 6 innings and giving 3 hits and 2 runs. The Astros struggled offensively only scoring 1 run while the Dodgers scored 3 runs. The Astros were led offensively by George Springer who scored their only run in the game while the Dodgers were led by Corey Seager who scored 1 of the runs by the Dodgers. The final score of game 6 was Dodgers winning 3-1 and tied the series 3-3.

It is all down to game seven of the World Series and it is tied 3-3 and both franchises are looking to finish the season with the World Series trophy. The Houston Astros started Lance McCullers Jr. who they hoped would be their savior and bring the trophy back to Houston, Texas. The Dodgers started Yu Darvish who the best aces in the M.L.B. and it was an intense battle. McCullers Jr. pitched 2.1 innings and gave up 3 hits and 0 runs which is very impressive. Darvish pitched 1.2 innings and gave up 3 hits and 4 runs. The Astros were led offensively by M.V.P. of the World Series George Springer, had 2 of the Astros 5 runs and the Dodgers were led by pinch hitter Andre Ethier which meant the Dodgers struggled offensively. On the last ground ball from Corey Seager of the Dodgers to Jose Altuve and threw it to Yuli Gurriel to win the World Series for the Houston Astros.
