Church Hosts Community Christmas Concert

Wilson Gustaveston, Design Editor

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is hosting their Second Annual Community Christmas Concert Sunday, Dec. 12, 2017. Wilford Schaffner, senior, participated in the concert last year through choir and is looking forward to this year.
“I love the Christmas atmosphere,” Schaffner said. “I know there’s going to be a ton of awesome talent.”
A hopeful audience member, sophomore Jake Fowler, is looking forward to Sunday. He has high hopes and expectations after last year’s disappointing conflicts caused him to miss the concert.
“I wasn’t able to go to the concert last year,” Fowler said. “I had a similar conflict at my church and I had to go to that instead. I really hope that I can make it to this year’s performance, because I heard that last year’s was pretty good.”
Brett Gustaveson, a key component of the concert organization, is also anxious for the concert to begin.
“The thing that I am most looking forward to this concert,” Gustaveson said, “is to see a whole community coming together for a concert, regardless of race or religion.”
