Melissa Theatre recently attended the Texas Thespians State Festival held Nov. 15-18 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. This festival includes a range of activities such as theatre workshops, dance classes, local high school performances and a variety of student competitions.
Twenty-eight MHS theatre students attended the festival and three competed in the Solo Musical Theatre Competition: soph. Avery Ward, junior Emily Dalton and senior Orion Baldridge.
Melissa Theatre plans to return to the festival next year with a full slate of student competitors.
