The State Fair of Texas is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever! Open from Sept. 27 to Oct. 20 at Fair Park in Dallas, this year’s fair is going to be packed with exciting things to do.
One of the best parts of the fair is the food. Guests get to try all kinds of crazy snacks like Fried Oreos, bacon-wrapped corn dogs and this year’s new treats.
Of course, the famous Fletcher’s Corny Dog is a must-try, too.
Visitors definitely want to ride the Texas Star Ferris Wheel, which is one of the biggest in the U.S.
Those that love fast rides should try the Titan, but for those not into thrills, there are plenty of easy rides and fun games with prizes.
The fair is full of live music from local bands and sometimes famous artists. Guests should also check out Big Tex’s Barnyard to see cute animals or watch the Starlight Parade.
And fairgoers won’t want to miss out on the fireworks that light up the sky.
Other than just games and fun, the State Fair is educational, too. One can explore art, check out new cars at the Auto Show, and visit livestock exhibits to see all kinds of animals. It’s a great way to learn more about Texas culture.
For those that have never been to the fair, here are a few tips:
Wear comfy shoes for walking a lot, bring cash for food and rides, and don’t forget to take a selfie with Big Tex, the giant cowboy statue that’s been part of the fair for years.
The State Fair of Texas is a perfect place to have fun with friends and family. With food, rides, shows, and so much more, there’s something for everyone. Make sure to check it out before it’s over! Don’t wait until next year.
