Christmas time is very magical and nostalgic for many people. Christmas is a Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. However, Christmas has evolved to become a festive time enjoyed by people of all cultures and backgrounds.

Christmas traditions vary widely, from festive meals to the decorations. However, spreading joy and kindness is a common theme.

Decorated Christmas trees are a widely used tradition for Christmas. References to Christmas trees in private homes or establishments in North America date back to the late 18th century and early 19th century.

Shanna Hobbs, CTE advertising, fashion design and marketing teacher, has a tradition of hanging up homemade Christmas decorations on her tree every year.

“We Decorate the Christmas tree with homemade decorations from my daughter’s childhood,” Hobbs said.

For many others, such as English teacher Ross Bundy, being with family and buying presents is a tradition.
“I travel to visit loved ones, and I give my loved ones gifts,” Bundy said.
