Exam Schedule
Students are getting ready for final exams, which will take place Dec. 16-19. Each day will follow a specific schedule, with two exams per day in the mornings.
Events
In the days leading up to the exams, Student Council planned the annual “12 Days of Cardinal Christmas” with various themed dress up days to celebrate the season. Students and faculty began dressing up on Dec. 5 and will culminate on Dec. 20 with “Ugly Sweater Day” before the 12:10 p.m. early release.
The fine arts department hosted their annual Heart for the Arts festival on Dec. 10. Art students demonstrated and guided students in creating arts and crafts. There were also performances from K-12 students, and the holiday parade sponsored by the Melissa Chamber of Commerce closed out the fun evening.
On Dec. 16, the band will host their winter concert at 7 p.m. in the Performance Hall of the Melissa Arts Center (MAC), and the high school choir will also perform a holiday concert combined with the middle school choir on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. in the MAC. Admission to both events is free.
After exams wrap up, students and teachers will have a well-deserved break. School will be closed from Dec. 23 through Jan. 3. Teachers will return to campus Jan. 6, 2025, for a work day, and students will return on Jan. 7 to begin the third nine weeks and spring semester.
