Choir made history by qualifying seven soloists and the school’s first-ever ensemble for the Texas State Solo-Ensemble Contest, which will be held May 24 in Austin. These 10 students earned their place by competing in the vocal and piano contests on Feb. 8.

The UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest challenges students to perform advanced repertoire as soloists or as part of an ensemble. Those who achieve a Division 1 rating qualify for the state competition, where they are judged against top performers from across Texas.
