Cardinal Update
- CONGRATULATIONS to Max Smirnov for finishing 7th in the consolation finals at the 5A State Swim Meet and 15th overall in the state. Click HERE to read more.

- CONGRATULATIONS to the Melissa SkillsUSA chapter for qualifying 31 students for the state conference, which will be held April 2-5 in Corpus Christi. Click HERE to read more.
- BLOOD DRIVE: HOSA is hosting a blood drive on March 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the aux gym. Click HERE to sign up for a time to donate. Students must be 16 or older. Any student that is 16 years of age must have parent permission to give blood. Click HERE for the parent permission form, which can also be picked up in the main office.
- CHEER TRYOUTS: Interested in joining the Melissa Cheer Program? Tryouts begin next week. There will be a tryout clinic March 3-5 in the new Championship Studio from 4:30-6:30 p.m. each day. Tryouts will be held on March 6. Anyone interested in tryouts must complete the tryout application packet ASAP, which can be found on the cheer page of the district website, or by visiting Coach Whorton in F-318.
- FFA MEETING: Any current or future agriculture students, there will be another FFA meeting on March 6 during B lunch in Ms. Koss’s room. Sign up in FexTime.
- SENIORS: Ms. Fournier sent an email that includes a Google form requesting information regarding college plans. The form should be completed prior to March 7.
- CARDINAL CHRONICLES: Any student interested in submitting work to the Cardinal Chronicles, please fill out the Magazine Submission Form by March 7. This is a magazine of student work that includes writing pieces (poetry, short stories, essays, etc.), artwork, and fashion designs.
- DUAL CREDIT: New to Dual Credit students need to complete their Dual Credit Registration Permission Form and Mandatory Campus Safety Training by March 7 @ 4 p.m. Permission forms may be turned in to Ms. Pope in F-219 or Ms. Waite in F-323. Additionally, ALL dual credit students must have the TSIA2 complete by March 14 @ 4 p.m. For assistance with OneLogin and Workday, students should schedule a meeting with Ms. Pavlik in F-118.
- MEF SCHOLARSHIPS: The Melissa Education Foundation (MEF) Scholarship Application has officially opened for seniors. The deadline to apply is March 8.
- COLOR GUARD TRYOUTS: Auditions for the 2025-26 Color Guard are scheduled for March 10-12 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the Championship Studio. Click HERE for more info.
- BUS RIDERS: All students who ride a bus to/from school must have a bus pass.
