Cardinal Update
- CONGRATULATIONS to the 2025-2026 MHS Cheerleaders! Results of the cheerleading tryouts held March 6 can be found on the district’s cheer page.
- CONGRATULATIONS to the One Act Play cast and crew for advancing to the district round of competition with their play “Where Words Once Were.” They performed at the UIL Zone B contest on March 6 and received the following awards: Outstanding Technician: Taylor Crews; Outstanding Overall Tech Crew: Taylor Crews and Sincere Lewis; Honorable Mention All Star Cast: Paden Davidson as Orhan; Riley Woods as Kieran; All Star Cast: Logan Venner as Isaac, Sam Barton as Teacher, Best Performer: Halle Heywood as Alli and Alyssa Sabo as Girl. The district contest will be March 27 at Rock Hill High School.
- BLOOD DRIVE: HOSA hosted a blood drive on campus March 5. Overall, 87 pints of blood were donated, which will help save 261 lives. Way to go, Cardinals!
- RED CORDS: Seniors wanting to qualify to wear a red cord at graduation must have donated with Carter BloodCare twice during the senior year or three times during high school to be eligible. Any senior unable to donate can have a parent or teacher donate on his or her behalf. This must be recorded at the time of the donation. Let Mrs. Koss or Coach Mendez know of the donations. There will be a community blood drive at the Melissa Public Library on March 29 for anyone still needing to qualify. Please email Mrs. Koss ([email protected]) if you have any questions.
- COLOR GUARD TRYOUTS: Auditions for the 2025-26 Color Guard are scheduled for March 10-12 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the Championship Studio. Click HERE for more info.
- RED NATION OUTFITTER: Melissa High School now has a store managed by students. They provide imprinting, engraving and embroidery services. Click HERE to visit their website.
- DUAL CREDIT: ALL dual credit students must have the TSIA2 complete by March 14 @ 4 p.m. For assistance with OneLogin and Workday, students should schedule a meeting with Ms. Pavlik in F-118.
- BUS RIDERS: All students who ride a bus to/from school must have a bus pass.
