The varsity girls basketball team had a good season this year. The Lady Cards earned second place in district and advanced to playoffs. This year the team won the bi-district round against Nacogdoches, but, unfortunately, their season ended in a close game against Heritage.
Led by three seniors, the team received many honors. Senior Kennedy Stout was named District 9-5A Offensive Player of the year. Senior Noelle Pletcher was named 1st Team All-District, junior Lynli Dittfurth received 2nd Team All-District, and senior Caigan Crabtree earned a spot on the All-District Defensive Team. Freshman Maci Buckner received Honorable Mention All-District. The District 9-5A Academic All-District Awards went to Maci Buckner, Lily Sanford, Noelle Pletcher, Udochi Anunobi, Kennedy Stout, Caigan Crabtree, and Lynli Dittfurth.
