The boy’s team dominated the mats at the state meet by finishing in 4th place overall. With the seven wrestlers that qualified for state, four of those athletes placed in their respective weight classes.
Senior Jadyn Johnson became the State Champion for the second year in a row. Freshman Jaxon Johnson earned the title of State Champion Runner Up. Soph. Gage Herrin and senior Ryan Ortega finished fifth in their respective weight classes.
The Lady Cards had eight wrestlers qualify for the state meet, and they ended in a notable seventh place as a team.
Soph. Malia Griffin became the State Champion in her weight class, and senior Akeelah Moore finished in third place.
