Universal Kids Resort Coming to Frisco:
Big news for North Texas! Universal Studios is building a brand-new theme park in Frisco, and it’s called Universal Kids Resort. Set to open by May 2026, this park is designed especially for families with young kids (10 and younger). It’s going to feature seven themed lands inspired by popular franchises like “Shrek,” “Minions,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Trolls,” “Gabby’s Dollhouse,” “Puss in Boots,” and “Jurassic World.”
The resort will be located on a 97-acre site at the northeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Panther Creek Parkway in Frisco. In addition to the theme park, Universal will also be building a 300-room hotel on the property .
For those of us in Melissa, this is especially exciting since Frisco is just a short drive away. It means that soon, we’ll have a world-class theme park practically in our backyard. Whether it’s exploring Shrek’s swamp, visiting Bikini Bottom, or going on a dinosaur adventure, there will be plenty of fun for everyone.
So, get ready for some thrilling times ahead. Universal Kids Resort is set to bring a whole new level of entertainment to our area, and we can’t wait to check it out!
