The Final Destination series is a horror movie franchise that is renowned for its unique premise: characters cheat death through premonitions, only to face increasingly elaborate and fatal accidents.

​The Final Destination franchise is set to return with its sixth installment, Final Destination: Bloodlines, scheduled for release in theaters—including IMAX—on May 16. This marks the first new entry in the series in 14 years and coincides with the 25th anniversary of the original film’s release.​ The films are known for their elaborate death scenes and themes of fate and inevitability. They keep viewers hooked and coming back for more movies. The series has been running for 25 years, from the first film in 2000 to the fifth in 2011.

The new film features Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Max Lloyd-Jones, and Rya Kihlstedt. Tony Todd returns as the enigmatic mortician William Bludworth, marking his final appearance in the series following his passing in November 2024 .​
