Lady soccer takes first in district
March 5, 2019
This past Saturday the girls played one of their biggest competitors, Celina.
Temperatures were as low as 38 degrees and were accompanied by rain. Still, the girls played through it. They battled with themselves and the other team both physically and mentally for 80 minutes before finishing off the game 1-1. Even though the game was tied the girls were still put in the first place seat because they haven’t lost a game yet.
Now, with a target on their back, the girls prepare to play Anna on Wednesday, March 6. As district games get ready to come to an end the team is already prepping for playoffs.
“We have enough talent and speed on this team to make it to state this year,” said co-captain Brittany Morgan, “I believe we can do it especially with all the support we receive from our parents and fellow students.”
