Dear Birdie

Birdie, and

Dear Birdie,
How do you swim?

Dear MHS Student,

As a bird I can not swim, but what I have found is that you need to just go for it! Here are some tips on how you can swim.
First tip, get comfortable in the water then start with moving your arms and kicking your legs and that should get you somewhere.

Dear Birdie,
How can people eat in the library without getting caught?

Dear MHS Student,

Trying to sneak around the librarian’s back is probably not the best idea. But, there are plenty of other great places around campus where you can enjoy your lunch such as the 1st and 4th floors, student union, fine arts building, etc.

Dear Birdie,
I feel overwhelmed with my classes. I’m a freshman, but I’m already stressed about my GPA. I feel like my life revolves around school. How can I get over this stress?

Dear MHS Student,

If you’re feeling overwhelmed in a situation, then you should stop, take a breath, and say it’s worth it. Feeling overwhelmed during school is perfectly normal, but you shouldn’t have to feel like your life revolves around school. Take a day out of the weekend to relax and start new. Maybe decide to hangout with a group of friends or spend time with your family without the stress of school around. Hang in there!

Dear Birdie,
My grades are slipping. How can I bring them up?

Dear MHS Student,
First, to start getting your grades up, you should start attending tutorials and then start studying more. Do corrections and retakes. Ask more questions in class or study with a friend. Good luck!
