The Environmental Awareness Club is hosting the Holidays for the Homeless Drive. The goal is to donate as many necessary items as possible to people in need during the holiday season.

“We, as students, have the power to make change,” President and creator Viktoria Dietrich said. “If we can treat strangers as our own and potentially save their lives, that’s a big deal.”

The grade that donates the most items each week will earn Cardinal Spirit Challenge points and the person who donates the most overall will win a prize. To drop off items, visit club sponsor Frank DePaolo’s room, A224, before school dismisses for the holidays.

Here is a list of needed items:

  • Toothbrushes/Toothpaste
  • Reusable water bottles
  • Bottled water
  • Hygiene products (all kinds and sizes )
  • Thick socks (any size)
  • Ear muffs/hats/gloves
  • Hand warmers
  • Rain ponchos
  • Vaseline
  • Baby wipes
  • Emergency blankets
  • Hair products (brushes, combs, hair ties)
  • Backpacks

Items that are not included on the list will also be accepted.
