The stork will be bringing teachers and coaches Ashley and Clay McCarter a new baby Cardinal to the nest in June of 2020. The new Cardinal is expected to arrive on the 7th.

“We have always talked about how much we both wanted children,” Mrs. McCarter said.

The McCarters have both been working at Melissa for five years and will be having a baby this summer. The baby girl’s name will be Magnolia Joule McCarter.

The McCarters know there will be some struggles once having Magnolia.

“Going back to work once she is born, coordinating our schedules and matching that with a childcare provider, and catering to someone else’s needs other than our own,” Mrs. McCarter said.

Regardless of the struggle between balancing everyday life and taking care of a newborn, the McCarters are excited to have a child.

“Not to mention, her life is totally in our hands,” Mrs. McCarter said. “That is a pretty big responsibility.”

The McCarters have wanted kids and this summer that dream will come true.

“Well, we have always talked about how much we both wanted children,” Mrs. McCarter said. “ She is really our dream come true.”

They love being around kids and will now have one of their own.

“It feels like my whole purpose in life is changing, but also being fulfilled at the same time,” Mrs. McCarter said. “I love being around kids and getting to know them and their unique personalities. To be able to get to see that from the first day a baby is born and every day after that sounds like an amazing experience.”
