COVID-19 may affect many things this year, but this doesn’t stop all the traditions.

While Homecoming may look a little different this year, it will happen nonetheless. Themed dress-up days will still take place during the week Oct. 12-16.

The annual parade is scheduled for Wed., Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m. followed by a community pep rally at Cardinal Stadium.

Then, the Homecoming game against Anna at Cardinal Stadium will take place on Oct. 16, and a new king and queen will be crowned at halftime.

The themes for the week, which start on Tuesday since Monday is a school holiday, are the following:

  • Tuesday- Tie dye/70s
  • Wednesday- Jersey/fan
  • Thursday- Spirit Day (wear your HOCO shirt and mums)
  • Friday- Pink out/spirit T-shirt for the homecoming game that night!

While part of the student body is learning online from home, they are still encouraged to participate in dress-up days by posting pictures of their outfits on social media with the hashtag #melissahoco2020.

GO, CARDINALS!!!!!
