Canned Food Drive

Interact strives to help feed community members

Rozleyn Brown, Co-Editor-in-Chief

The annual canned food drive sponsored by Interact will take place November 9-19.

Students are asked to bring nonperishable items to their third period class to raise donations for our community’s Thanksgiving Food Drive. All items will be delivered to the Melissa Community Outreach Program.

Students are asked to bring as many food items as they can. The Interact Club led by Mrs. Pinckney and Mrs. Hall will provide each class with a box for the canned foods. If the classroom box fills up, then items can be delivered to room A138 (first floor, library) to be counted and stored. The final delivery of filled boxes to Mrs. Hall’s room (A138) should be November 19 to be counted.

The homeroom (third period) class with the most contributions will win a pizza party.

Students, make sure to bring items to help those in need this holiday season…and, of course, to help your class win!
