Cardinals of the Week: Feb. 8 – 12

Brianne Finnell, Editor-In-Chief

Melissa High School has started a new feature to honor students and faculty members that display our core values on a consistent basis. Each week one student and one staff member will be spotlighted and awarded a certificate and some treats. The staff member will also be presented with a “traveling trophy.”

Senior Evelyne Benazzouz, pictured with Asst. Principal Stacy Needham and Academic Dean of Students Todd Pennington, is recognized as Cardinal of the Week.

This week’s student Cardinal of the Week is senior Evelyne Benazzouz.  She was nominated by Mrs. Wooten, who had this to say:

“Eve has only attended MHS for a short time, but she is probably one of the most respectful young ladies on the planet. She is always willing to help me and other students. She is just down right sweet! She is simply wonderful and I wish I had a classroom full of Eve’s!”

Pictured with Asst. Principal Needham and Academic Dean Pennington, Pete List is recognized as this week’s faculty Cardinal of the Week.

This week’s faculty Cardinal of the Week is Mr. Pete List.  Mr. List is diligent when taking attendance, which hasn’t been the easiest of tasks this year.  He always covers his supervision as assigned and is an outstanding science teacher. He possesses and instills in his students our Cardinal Core Values.
