Attention: Juniors and Sophomores

It’s that time of year where we will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT on campus!  This is not a required test, but it’s outstanding practice for the SAT/ACT.

Juniors, you also have the opportunity to qualify as a National Merit Scholar if you score in the top 5% in the nation!  If you aren’t familiar with what the PSAT/NMSQT even is, check out more general info here: CollegeBoard.org.  

**NOTE:  This is NOT the college entrance tests SAT or ACT.  To register for those you must do that through their direct websites:  sat.org or act.org.  

The Details:

What: PSAT/NMSQT (Pre-SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test)
Where: Melissa HS
When: Wednesday, October 13, 2021 (during school hours)
Cost: $18 cash or check payable to Melissa ISD
Payment Timeline: Sept. 27 – Oct. 1 to Ms. Stover in the Main Office
** Seats are limited and will be offered to Juniors/Sophomores on a first come/first served basis. **

How to Register: 

Step 1:  Complete the Google Form linked here: PSAT Registration Form

• Remember, there are limited seats for this test, so register ASAP if you are interested in taking it.
  

Step 2:  Once you have completed the Google Form, your registration is not final until you submit your payment. Payments need to be submitted as follows during the week of September 27-October 1:

• $18.00 cash or check made out to Melissa ISD.
• Cash/check delivered to Ms. Stover in the Main Office A108 during the week of September 27 – October 1 between 8:00 am -4:15 pm.
• A receipt and a study guide will be given to each student.
• Registration is confirmed.
