“Stranger Things” is a Sci-fi show that first aired on July 15, 2016. The show begins when a young boy (named Will) disappears one night after leaving his friend’s house (Mike). After Will’s disappearance, weird mysteries are discovered by Will’s friends about secret experiments associated with a girl that possesses supernatural powers. So far, the show has come out with three seasons, and they are available on Netflix.

In February 2020, the Duffer Brothers and Netflix confirmed that there will be a fourth season of “Stranger Things.” However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everything was postponed to prevent the spread of the virus. Now that proper precautions have been taken and vaccines have come out, the producers of “Stranger Things” resumed filming the additional season. The exact air date isn’t known yet, but it was announced that season 4 of “Stranger Things” will be released in 2022. Actor Noah Schnapp said in an interview, “yeah, we’ve been filming forever.” It isn’t exactly known how long the actors and actresses have been filming the new season.

British actress Millie Bobby Brown first revealed a teaser trailer on her Instagram account on May 6, 2021, and then revealed another trailer on her social media account on Aug. 6, 2021. Most of the old characters that were in the former episodes will also be coming back. On the other hand, a new trailer for season 4 came out on Nov. 6, 2021, giving the audience more insight into what will happen.

As for the new characters in the upcoming season, it was announced on Nov. 20, 2020, on the Stranger Things Instagram account that there will be eight different characters making an appearance in the show, and they gave a bit more insight on their roles. Later on, Stranger Things also revealed four more new characters for the show on their Instagram platform, along with a description of their roles. 

Many people have been wondering if season 4 of “Stranger Things” will be the final season. However, screenwriter Ross Duffer said, “Season 4 won’t be the end.” There is a possibility that there will be a season 5 coming out in the future, but this information hasn’t been confirmed yet.
