Melissa’s colors are red and black, not purple. So when the Melissa Snapchat filter first came out, everyone was confused on the color scheme. 10th-grader, Carlos Villarreal, thought it would be a fun idea to create some more. When asked why he felt the need to create some new filters, Carlos stated, “everyone was always complaining about how ugly the purple filter was so I decided to try and make some myself.”  Using Photoshop on his computer Carlos created not just one but three new filters and one is coming soon, for all the snappers in Melissa.

Students were very pleased with the new added filters, Junior, Delacy Dennis exclaimed, “It was about time Melissa got some new filters, and I like them.” The new filters are unique and just what students at Melissa were waiting for!
