Cardinal Update
- 1st Semester Exams will begin Jan. 10 and should be finished by Jan. 13. We will follow our normal schedule, so exams will be given during class. Students who are absent will need to make up an exam on Friday, Jan. 14 if it is a red class day, or during MegaLunch, or by coordinating a date and time with the teacher. Students out for an extended period of time such as with COVID can receive an incomplete to allow for more makeup time.
- VOTE for our School: The Melissa Cardinals are currently in 5th place for the Community Connection School of the Year and a $2,500 grand prize. Only a few hundred votes separate ALL schools, so it is important to continue voting now and vote often through Jan. 21! Voting is unlimited! Click here to vote. - PRESS RELEASE: International Baccalaureate (IB) Announcement – Melissa Schools will host a series of meetings for parents or anyone interested in learning about the IB program that will be implemented starting in the fall of 2022. Click here to learn more and view the Schedule of Meetings.
- Juniors: The Coolidge Scholarship is a prestigious award that provides a full ride scholarship to its representatives. It is open to high school juniors only. The Jan. 19 deadline is quickly approaching. If you feel you meet the criteria, you are encouraged to apply. Click here to apply.

- Sports in Action Scholarship: Here is a new scholarship opportunity for Texas athletic, music, and academic participants. The deadline to apply is Jan. 28.
