New Year – New Me

As some would say ¨2016 is FINALLY over¨, and the New Year has begun. Many people are deciding to try and better themselves in 2017 by starting New Year´s resolutions. From attempting to achieve better grades, to working out more, to giving up chocolate, New Year´s resolutions have been around for years, and the inspirations from which can cause other people to try and make a positive change in their lives. Below are some resolutions from Melissa High School students and staff, and hopefully those of you who have not selected a change to make may be inspired to change your minds:

 

Sophomore Dillon Youngblood says that he plans to ¨work out and stay in shape during 2017 to be ready for my first full year on the Varsity football team¨.

Senior Rafael Loya says that he will try to “improve my boxing skills and try and start to earn money through that so I can upgrade my car.”

Junior Gillian Stopinski says that she will “eat more healthily as best as my love for Chick fil A will let me”!

Junior Ulysses Convento will “continue to show dedication in the soccer program as practice will make perfect.”

Senior Nathan Serna will “try to better myself as a person, and help as many people as I can. I want to make others smile.”

Junior Dain Miller says that he “intends on eating a more healthy diet in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.”

Senior Priscilla Adejokun will “try my best to break 500lbs on squat and deadlift, and avenge last year’s powerlifting mishap.”
