Cowboys Close Game

The Cowboys had an extraordinary season this year with a record of 13 wins and three loses. The Cowboys were one of the biggest talks of the season, with people talking about Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and their offensive line.
On Jan. 15, 2017 the Cowboys played home in Arlington in the AT&T Stadium against the Green Bay Packers. They ended up losing a close game when the Packers kicked a field goal sealing the win for Green Bay. The Cowboys were trailing behind until it got to the fourth quarter in which they caught up and ended up tying the game.
In the first quarter the Cowboys had a slow start but ended up putting points on the board in the first quarter. Dan Bailey ended up kicking a field goal putting the Cowboys in the lead 3-0. Shortly after Aaron Rodgers replied back by throwing a touchdown pass to, Richard Rodgers making the score 7-3.
In the second quarter, Ty Montgomery ran the ball hard down the middle scoring again for Green Bay. As Green Bay made their way down the field again, Ty Montgomery scored his second touchdown in the second quarter leaving the Cowboys behind in a 21-3 score. Within a couple of minutes after the Packers scored, the Cowboys made sure their presence was felt after scoring a touchdown that was caught by Dez Bryant.
In the third quarter Aaron Rodgers threw another touchdown to, Jared Cook, once again leaving the Packers in the lead. Both quarterbacks ended up throwing interceptions in the third quarter, making the teams pick up the tempo.
Furthermore, in the fourth quarter, the Cowboys end up scoring with a touchdown pass that was meant for Jason Witten leaving the Cowboys eight points behind the Packers. Just with four minutes and eight seconds left on the clock, Dak throws another touchdown pass to Bryant, making the Cowboys go for a two point conversion in order to tie up the game. The two point of course was made making it be a tie game. Right when everyone thought both teams would go into overtime the Packers ended up kicking a field goal sealing a win and having a shot at the superbowl.
Not too short after the game was over Aaron Rodgers commented on Dak Prescott and said, “The guy is amazing…He had a phenomenal year. The Cowboys have a bright future with Dak Prescott. Dak ‘s future for playing for the Cowboys is promising as Jerry Jones commented on Dak saying, “ he played in a veteran way.”
