‘Doctor Strange’ to debut in theaters May 6

The newest Marvel movie “Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse” ties into several other Marvel movies like the Spider-Man series and is part of Marvel’s “Phase 4.” The official release date is May 6, 2022, for the U.S.

The leading actor is Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Steven Strange, and there is an appearance from Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier.

The trailer states, “…Strange casts a forbidden spell that opens a portal to the Multiverse… a threat emerges that may be too big for his team to handle.”

This storyline was partly seen in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” when Strange helps Peter, and especially in the end with the cracks, in reality, showing many villains such as Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, and some claim Arishem the Judge.

Phase 4 Marvel lineups are continuing with the release of “Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse” and future releases including “Thor: Love and Thunder” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and going into 2023 with “The Marvels,” a new Guardians of the Galaxy, and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and many, many more through Disney+.
