The cast list for the Melissa Theatre’s 2023 winter production “The Play That Goes Wrong” was announced a few weeks ago.

Congratulations to Ava Fox, Bailey Thornburg, Briley Neu, Cici Allo, Dax Laber, Deacon Laber, Haley Schmidt, Halle Heywood, Kolby Schulz, Korinne George, Lelia Wormington, Riley Woods, and Scout Burrus.

“I’m excited for the winter play since I haven’t done many comedic plays before,” sophomore Korinne George said. “It will be super fun to work with all of my friends.”

Senior Dax Laber has been in several shows with Melissa Theatre, dating all the way back to the fall of 2019.

“It’s going to be awesome seeing so many people who haven’t really had a major role or spotlight be given the opportunity to really show off what they’re capable of,” senior Dax Laber said. “The idea behind the winter play is to provide a bigger opportunity to students, and the directors are handling it perfectly.”

The Play That Goes Wrong” tells the story of a dysfunctional production company preparing for a big show. The play is currently being performed on Broadway.

Catch Korinne, Dax, and the rest of the cast in “The Play That Goes Wrong” during one of their public performances January 26-28.
