The first pep rally was Sept. 2, and the theme was “Despicable Me-lissa.” Students and staff had the choice of dressing up as their favorite minion or character from the popular movie “Despicable Me.”

Students and faculty gathered together in the gym and participated in two games. In the first game, the players had to smash eggs on their heads to see if they cracked or not. The second was called “The Unicorn Game,” players had to place pantyhose over their heads that weights were attached to on the bottom. The students then had to walk forward swinging their weights and try to knock over cups along an obstacle course to tag their partner at the finish line.

“It was pretty loud, inspiring for the new students, including myself, but I liked it,” freshman Emma Dicky said.

The gym was definitely packed and loud with spirit. However, Students not wanting to attend had the option to sit in the Student Union during the rally.
