Cardinal Update

  • Cheer Tryout Meeting: Students interested in trying out for cheerleader for the upcoming school year must attend a meeting with a parent to learn more about the tryout process. The final meeting will be held Monday, Feb. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Union.
  • 2024 HOSA Travel Trip: If interested in traveling on the 2024 Health Sciences trip to Germany and France, please come to the parent meeting Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Championship Center Lounge.  Please RSVP for meeting here: https://bit.ly/3VPqsMw.
  • Academic Expo: The Academic Expo that was planned for Feb. 1. will not be rescheduled. However, there will be an 8th grade parent meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. Students and parents will need to use the Academic Planning Guide to assist them in making course selections for next school year. Course Request Cards are now due Feb. 10.
  • News & Yearbook Interest Survey: Join the new or yearbook staff next year as a reporter, designer or photographer! If interested, complete this survey or contact the adviser [email protected].
  • Tennis Store: Cardinal Tennis has an online store open through Feb. 16 for anyone wanting to purchase some spirit wear.
  • ATTN: SENIORS – Have you ordered your cap and gown yet? If so, this needs to be done ASAP through gradtexas.com.
  • SENIOR ADs for the 2023 yearbook are now on sale! Parents/guardians will build and purchase the ADs through Herff Jones’ site: YearbookOrderCenter.com. Space is limited, so don’t delay–buy an ad today! The deadline is March 1.

  • SCHOLARSHIPS: Seniors, visit the MHS scholarships page frequently to earn money for college and even vocational training. Lockheed Martin is awarding 150 $5,000 vocational scholarships!
