The theme for Prom 2023 has been announced and ticket sales will begin April 3.

The prom committe selected a theme titled “A Night in New York” this year, and the event will be held on April 29 in the Throckmorton Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel in McKinney. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and close at 11. Food and beverages will be provided.

Tickets will be sold starting April 3 during Mega Lunch in the Student Union. The tickets will be $70 April 3-14, $75 April 17-21, and then $80 April 24-28. Only cash or check will be accepted.

Prom is only open to MHS juniors and seniors. However, seniors may bring an outside guest with administrative approval. Guest approval forms are available in the main office and need to be turned in as soon as possible. Juniors may bring a guest, as well, but the guest must be a MHS student.

MHS is participating in a fundraiser with Men’s Wearhouse and Jos. A. Bank, so if students rent or purchase from either place, they shold tell the store that they are with Melissa High School to give the school credit and help raise money for prom.

Prom shirts are on sale now through April 7 and can be purchased at this link: Prom 2023 Shirts. The shirts will be delivered to the school during the week of the event.

A dress code will be enforced at Prom. Click the following links to view the dress code and guest guidelines.
