Cardinal Update
- Congratulations to seniors DK Abrams and JoJo Miller, who were crowned the 2023 Homecoming King and Queen during the varsity football game against Greenville on Oct. 20. Click here to read more about HOCO week.
- Congratulations to Varsity Volleyball for finishing in 2nd place in district. They will play Ennis for the bi-district title on Monday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m. at Arlington Martin HS. Click here to purchase tickets.
- Congratulations to senior Logan Tauch, who placed 4th at the 5A Region II Cross Country Meet on Oct. 23. Logan will now advance to the state meet, which will be held in Round Rock on Nov. 3.
- STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY: There will be no school for students on Oct. 30 as this will be a professional development day for staff.
- TRUNK OR TREAT: FCA will host Trunk or Treat on Oct. 30 in the gym from 5-7 p.m.
- HALLOWEEN: Students are NOT allowed to wear Halloween costumes to school on Tuesday, Oct. 31. This will be a regular school day following dress code guidelines.
- PICTURE RETAKES: The school photographer will return to campus on Nov. 1. Any students who were absent or not yet enrolled on the original picture day in September should be photographed on Nov. 1. If a student who was previously photographed needs a retake for some reason, then please complete this request form by 4 p.m. on Oct. 31. Retakes will take place during MegaLunch and students will be scheduled through FlexTime Manager. All questions should be directed to yearbook adviser Rachel Nelson, [email protected].
- DUAL CREDIT PARENT MEETING: CTE administrators will also host a Dual Credit Parent Meeting on Wednesday, November 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the Student Union for those interested in Collin College Welding, Auto Tech or HVAC next school year. This meeting is for current 10th graders ONLY!
- TOYS FOR TOTS: HOSA is organizing its annual toy drive. They will host a community-wide kickoff event on Nov. 2 at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium during the varsity football game against Lovejoy. Everyone attending the game is highly encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate. Click for more info.
- MELISSA THEATRE: Tickets are now on sale for “Treasure Island.” There will be three performances Nov. 9-11 starting at 7 p.m. each night. Click here to purchase tickets.
